Placemats are generally made to order, either as standalone items or bespoke pieces to match your chosen bowl. These are a real investment due to their longevity and durability, which is reflected in the price. The cost depends on whether you opt for a full resin placemat using the mould sizes currently in stock. For example, each large rectangular placemat (sizes ) uses up to 1 litre of resin (at a cost of £27 per litre of resin before pigments and other materials are added) and is poured in layers over a 2-week period to achieve the desired colours and effects. Therefore, the starting cost for each large placemat is £60+. Other sizes and shapes are available, but the cost of the moulds would be added to the final price, balanced against the reduced amount of resin needed if the placemat is smaller. An estimate will be provided for your chosen size and shape. For a set of 2 = 1 mould, set of 4 = 2 moulds, and a set of 8 = 4 moulds would need to be purchased.
The benefit of choosing a full resin set of placemats is that you can add future mats at a later date. Additionally, ordering a bespoke full resin placemat set includes a free one-layer colour upgrade if you change your décor within 2 years. The only cost to you would be the cost of postage returning the mats to me and the cost of returning them to you. A small additional fee may apply if certain requests require additional layers or added gems, etc.
Alternatively, consider shop-bought placemats covered in your choice of resin colour. These are a considerably cheaper option, using far less resin. The price will be agreed upon depending on whether you supply the required placemats, style, size, etc. If purchased with a bowl, the cost of these placemats will be discounted.
